Silky Segue

A young woman came over to America with her uncle, not sure what to expect.  She was definitely the talk of the town, and many suitors tried to court her.  Ultimately one man was able to capture her heart, and her life was about to start.

However, a few years after marriage, things weren’t going so well.  Her husband began to lose his ambition, thinking they had all the time in the world, and continued living with the support of his family.

Two years later, their first son was born.  A year later, the second son was born.  The young lady tried her best to care for the children, however things were becoming increasingly difficult.  She attended college during the day, while taking care of her children at night.  

Six years later, this young lady had to raise her two young sons alone, without a proper education.  Her parents had just immigrated to the country, to help out as she worked a job as a secretary and waitress.

After raising her children into adulthood, she is finally able to once again find companionship in a new marriage, and experienced 10 years of companionship, producing a wonderful son.

However, life is cruel, and the heavens reclaimed her second husband, leaving this woman to handle his unfinished business, without any hint or direction of what to do.  Scared and confused, the woman had no idea what to do.

In a little under two years, the woman has once again grasped control of everything.   She has persevered a good amount of obstacles, knowing she has a long way to go.  No longer scared, the woman moves forward, determined to not fail.

I just got off the phone with my mom today, and I’ve never been more proud of her.  Life has never been easy for her, but she fights and fights and refuses to give up.  She has been through so much.

I promise in some way, and some how, be massively successful, so I can finally give her some time to relax and enjoy life.  She deserves it.
